Abstract

This article presents the results of a study on the positioning of women in the labor sector in Nayarit today, a significant transformation process for the country's growth. The study aims to raise awareness about the historically low participation of women in various job positions.
The research was developed using documentary and historical approaches, collecting data on female participation in relation to current policies and laws that protect their rights and address equity barriers. Additionally, surveys were conducted with 100 Nayarit women active in the labor field, statistically interpreting their experiences.
Various variables influencing women's labor participation were identified, such as cultural barriers, gender wage gap, inequality of opportunities, stereotypes, discrimination, and workplace harassment. Factors promoting change, such as legal regulations and social strategies to modify the cultural perception of women's labor roles, were also analyzed.
The purpose of the study is to describe the labor positioning of women in Nayarit from various perspectives and confirm the need to drive transformative change that facilitates their participation and development, overcoming gender barriers and ensuring equal opportunities with men.
