Abstract

The main objective of this document is to identify the determining factors for decision-making by the students of the María Cano University Foundation (FUMC), to continue or not with their professional training in the 2020-2 period, to achieve the above, a census sample of 3289 students (close to the total population) was used as a methodology, using a quantitative approach and categorical statistical analysis was applied for its analysis, as the main result it was found that for the following enrollment semester (2020 - 2) The dropout would be around 25.3% on average with a maximum of 34.6% for some particular educational program, mainly due to the lack of economic resources in the families of the students. To minimize this impact, discount policies, payment facilities, and advice for the application of educational loans were proposed, which resulted in an average overall final decrease of approximately 7%.
