The importance of lean manufacturing tools is contextualized through their application to evaluate a manufacturing process for alarm systems, aiming to decrease costs, reduce rework, scrap, and increase product quality. This study compiles information on the problematic situation, such as current scrap indicators of 0.49% and defects at 36.2%. A control plan is designed to significantly reduce the consumption of soldering tips while maintaining improvements in other quality indicators. The study results show a decrease in soldering tip consumption, reaching 72% for type A and 52% for type B, resulting in an economic benefit of $11,471.25 USD, by the end of the year. The need for effective communication and human talent management strategies to ensure the continuous success of these improvement proposals is emphasized. Additionally, the relevance of Kaizen is highlighted as a people-centered approach focusing on process standardization, underlining the active participation of multidisciplinary teams in implementing these practices to achieve sustainable improvements in production processes.
