The objective of this research was to evaluate the impact of an intervention program on the development of soft skills in children aged 7 to 12 from the Club de Enseñanza Buhitos at the University of Sonora, Navojoa campus. Through 10 sessions of 40 minutes each, strategies such as mindfulness, storytelling, music, sketches, and dramatizations were implemented. A Likert-type scale was used before and after the program to measure six categories: self-awareness, empathy, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and autonomy. The results revealed a significant increase in all the dimensions analyzed. The children demonstrated a greater ability to manage their emotions, communicate effectively, and work as a team. It is concluded that the program strengthened key socioemotional competencies, positively impacting their overall development. This growth promotes resilience and a positive adaptation to everyday challenges. It is recommended to incorporate the development of soft skills into the basic education curriculum.
