Abstract

The present research was aimed at examining the relationship that exists between emotional intelligence and the learning styles of new students of the 2023 generation at the Huatabampo Technological Institute. A non-experimental qualitative correlational design was used. The main findings revealed that there is a significant correlation between emotional intelligence and learning styles as students with a high level of emotional intelligence show a preference for visual and kinesthetic learning, while those with lower levels tended towards visual and kinesthetic learning. auditory, another important fact found is that self-esteem is positively related to their emotional intelligence and their learning styles, therefore and considering the results it is important to consider emotional intelligence in the design of pedagogical strategies and support programs to improve the learning of university students, it can be concluded that these findings provide a solid basis for making educational decisions and promoting a more effective and enriching learning environment.
