Abstract

Over the years, SMEs have had a positive impact on the economy not only because they contribute to GDP and employment, morever because they are businesses that can be strengthened with the support of the public and private sectors so these companies can invest, apply technology and increase their quality and income for the benefit of the economy. This research aims to evaluate the impact of management skills in relation to the competitiveness of SMEs in the municipality of Benito Juarez, Sonora. Three independent variables were analyzed: coaching, communication and teamwork, in relation to the dependent variable competitiveness. The type of research is descriptive, social and correlational. The study was applied to managers of a sector of high productivity (SME) that contributes significantly to the municipal economy, 108 questionnaires were applied to test the hypothesis raised, since the data collected in the surveys were analyzed and with them raise conclusions and potential recommendations for leaders of the SME sector that allow them to apply their managerial skills and thus evolve towards the competitiveness of continuous improvement.
