Abstract

This study analyzes the organizational functioning of small and medium-sized seafood restaurants in Hermosillo, Sonora; by applying Marvin Weisbord's six-box model.  The research, quantitative and descriptive, used a questionnaire based on the six dimensions: purpose, structure, relationships, rewards, leadership and useful mechanisms; which allows us to identify both the strengths and areas for improvement in these companies. The findings indicate that employees manifest moderately positive perceptions, although differences are observed according to seniority and role within the organization, with aspects related to Internal communication and the reward system being noteworthy. The implementation of Weisbord's model facilitated the identification of critical problems, which will allow the design of strategies to optimize competitiveness. It is concluded that organizational diagnosis is a fundamental to promote continuous improvement and align internal processes with the needs of the market, promoting the integral development of companies.
