Student satisfaction regarding virtual courses at a university in Southern Sonora

Virtual courses are an increasingly expanding educational choice in higher education. In this regard, it is important to assess whether virtual education has managed to improve student satisfaction regarding their educational needs. The objective of this study was to determine the satisfaction of university students concerning virtual courses at a university in southern Sonora. The method used was quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional, applied through a questionnaire adapted for university students with 13 items and a reliability index of α = .896. The results indicate that 34.8% of the students were highly satisfied, meaning that for them, the virtual courses met their educational expectations. On the other hand, 56% were moderately satisfied, indicating that for most, there was some level of educational dissatisfaction. It is concluded that the degree of satisfaction with virtual courses falls within a medium range, with clear opportunities for improvement to better meet students' educational needs.
