Abstract

The present investigation is focused on designing a strategic planning model in an empirical and documentary way that serves as a guide for a correct implementation in the SMEs of Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, which will allow them to increase their efficiency and productivity. A quantitative research was carried out using an instrument for the collection of primary data from SMEs. As a second source of information, a documentary-type methodology was used, which consists of collecting and selecting information through the use of bibliographic references. The design of the model was born from the lack of understanding of strategic planning within the SMEs studied, having negative results in the use of the elements that comprise this topic and resulting in deficiencies in its implementation. It is concluded that in order to carry out its strategic planning process, every company must start with the definition of its vision, mission and values with which they feel identified, continuing with the analysis and diagnosis of their current situation to detect opportunities and risks that can be identified. present, and thus, identify and evaluate alternatives that help formulate strategies that provide solutions to their threats and potentiate their opportunities. It is recommended to fully implement the designed model, giving it the formality, seriousness and with the principles that are required.
