The current challenges faced by young Cubans are great; from this reality the formation of ethical
and moral values, specifically responsibility, does not escape, constituting a challenge to guarantee
the formation of a competent professional committed to society. This work carries out a theoretical
foundation aimed at highlighting the importance of the formation of values in the students of the
Guáimaro University Center, the formation of values and its relationship with the forms of social
conscience are addressed. The value of responsibility was identified as a priority for the future
performance of Cuban teachers as social entities and trainers of the new generations and the role
that the training process plays in the current Cuban university, proposing a strategy aimed at
favoring the training process.
