The present research analyzes the influence of organizational climate on work performance within a basic level educational institution in Navojoa, Sonora, with a quantitative approach by means of a validated questionnaire, applied to 28 collaborators from different areas at two moments: a pretest with an overall result of 83% and a posttest of 84% after the implementation of an intervention based on a virtual course on leadership. The instrument presented high reliability, with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient (α = 0.880), which supports the robustness of the data obtained. The initial results reflected a positive perception of the national climate, with strengths in identity (4.62), recognition (4.53) and responsibility (4.53), and areas of opportunity in structure (4.10), leadership (4.10) and interpersonal relations (4.14). After the intervention, improvements were evidenced in the dimensions of leadership (4.24), interpersonal relations (4.31) and responsibility (4.58), suggesting a positive impact of the implemented strategy. Therefore, it is concluded that the organizational climate significantly influences work performance and that interventions aimed at strengthening leadership and communication can generate improvements in the work environment.
