The research focuses on exploring the experiences of violence that medical students face in their academic environment. Through in-depth interviews with inmates from different specialties, various manifestations of verbal and psychological violence by teachers and instructors are identified, which negatively impact the mental health and emotional well-being of students. The results revealed that, although students experience anxiety and stress due to academic load and destructive criticism, social support among peers becomes a crucial strategy to cope with these situations. Interpersonal relationships play a critical role, as mutual support helps mitigate the impact of violence and fosters a sense of community. The need for institutional change is highlighted that includes training teachers in effective communication and empathy, as well as the implementation of clear policies to address violence in the academic field. This research highlights the importance of creating a safer and more respectful educational environment that not only supports learning, but also prepares future doctors to practice their profession with sensitivity and professionalism. The culture of peace and coexistence must be a priority in medical training to guarantee comprehensive development in students.
