Analysis of preventive health and safety services in an educational institution using NOM-030-STPS-2009

In Mexico, the Mexican Social Security Institute registered a total of 78,647 occupational diseases, with the highest incidence being COVID-19 with 80.6%, back pain 3.6%; hearing loss 2.7%, shoulder injuries 1.6%, carpal tunnel syndrome 1.4% and pneumoconiosis 1.3%. The objective of the research is to reduce the diseases registered in the year 2023 in an educational institution, implementing a preventive health and safety program that contains the actions that must be carried out, based on NOM-030-STPS. The methodology that was used consists of 5 stages to deepen its study. The results showed that in one year, the nursing area provided 2,310 consultations to 492 workers, recording diseases such as flu with 44%, gastrointestinal illnesses with 31%, cures and injections with 12%, colic with 8% and others with 5%. improve health care for workers and reduce occupational diseases, it is proposed to implement a health and safety prevention program, adopting artificial intelligence as a medical alternative in the workplace.
