Objective: To carry out a case study to identify the community profile of the level of poverty and well-being, based on perceptions and personal categories of the inhabitants of the General Cárdenas neighborhood, Municipality of Cintalapa, State of Chiapas, at the family level, from of the Good Living approach. Methodology: Case study, carried out from the integration of a focus group, with inhabitants of the community, selected by direct recommendation, based on their knowledge of the inhabitants regardless of their socioeconomic level or age. Which was in charge of identifying and establishing collectively and individually, the criteria and categories of poverty and well-being, of the 88 families that made up the community, with the support of a previous census carried out face to face.
Results: The Working Group defined four welfare categories: very poor families (3.87%), poor families (71.75%), rich poor families (22.32%) and rich families (2.05%) and 46 welfare criteria.
