Management of Directors of Higher Secondary Education Institution in Times of Pandemic

The pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV 2 virus generated significant changes in the educational environment; that is why, in the process of adaptation, the role of the principals of Secondary Education (EMS) educational institutions was fundamental to direct the work of teachers and to carry out the pertinent strategies to continue with the processes of distance learning. In this sense, a research it was conducted with the objective of analyzing the performance of principals of EMS institutions in southern Sonora during the health contingency. A methodology was use under the mixed research approach with a non-experimental research design, with a descriptive level of depth; in which principals and teachers of these institutions participated. The results indicate that school dropout, low academic performance, lack of technological resources and lack of communication were the main situations faced by principals during this period. For their part, teachers evaluated the performance of their principals with an 8.56 on a scale of 10.
